Flat Top Griddle Recipes

The Arteflame cooktop is a flat steel surface around a wood or charcoal fire, so it works as a large outdoor griddle. The metal is hottest near the fire and cooler toward the outer edge. That gives you several heat zones at once.

Fry eggs and bacon on one side and keep pancakes warm on the other. Smash burgers and cheesesteaks get a crisp crust from the hot steel. Fried rice, noodles and stir-fries cook fast when you keep the food moving. Cutlets, fish and fajitas sear well on a lightly oiled surface.

The recipes below are grouped by meal, with the most familiar dishes first. USDA lists 160°F for ground meat, 165°F for poultry and 145°F for fish. Cook eggs until the white and yolk are firm, and egg dishes to 160°F. See our internal temperature chart.
