Savor the tropical flavors with this Piña Colada Burger recipe, blending juicy beef, sweet grilled pineapple, and creamy Piña Colada sauce, for a delightful twist on a classic.
Piña Colada Burger Recipe
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 lb ground beef
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 pineapple rings
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 1/2 cup Piña Colada sauce (see below)
- Lettuce leaves
- Sliced red onion
For Piña Colada Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup canned coconut cream
- 1/4 cup pineapple juice
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened shredded coconut
- 1 tablespoon rum (optional)
- Salt, to taste
Instructions:

Prepare the Piña Colada Sauce:
- In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, coconut cream, pineapple juice, shredded coconut, and rum (if using). Season with salt to taste. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Grill the Pineapple:
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Grill pineapple rings for 2-3 minutes per side until they have nice grill marks. Set aside.

Cook the Burgers:
- Season the ground beef with salt and pepper and form into 4 patties.
- Grill the patties for about 4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer for your preferred doneness.
- During the last minute of grilling, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty to melt.

- Lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill, cut side down, for about 1 minute.

- Spread Piña Colada sauce on the bottom bun.
- Place a lettuce leaf and a slice of red onion on each bun.

- Top each burger with a grilled pineapple ring.
- Spread more Piña Colada sauce on the top buns and place them on the burgers.
