  • For the Pierogi Dough:

    • 2 cups all-purpose flour, plus extra for dusting
    • 1 large egg
    • 1/2 cup sour cream
    • 1/4 cup water
    • Pinch of salt

    • Potato-Cheese Filling:
      • 1 cup mashed potatoes
      • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
      • Salt and pepper to taste
    • Sauerkraut-Mushroom Filling:
      • 1 cup sauerkraut, drained and chopped

      • 1 onion, finely chopped

    • Sour cream
    • Fresh herbs, chopped (optional)

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Rolling pin
  • Pierogi cutter or round cookie cutter
  • Spatula


  1. Prepare the Dough:

    • In a large bowl, combine the flour, egg, sour cream, water, and salt. Knead until smooth. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Filling:

    • For potato-cheese filling, mix mashed potatoes and cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
