The Arteflame ONE20 is the compact grill and griddle combo: a 20" grill made from one piece of Corten steel, with 300+ sq in of cooking surface. A hardwood or lump charcoal fire in the center heats a grill grate that passes 1,000°F for searing, and a 1/4" solid steel cooktop around it handles eggs, vegetables, fish and smash burgers. It suits small patios, courtyards and cooking for 2–4 people, and it becomes a small fire bowl after dinner.

How it cooks
Sear on the center grate, then move food onto the steel to finish. The cooktop is hottest near the fire and cooler toward the edge, so you can cook bacon and eggs while keeping buns warm. The solid steel sits between the fire and the food, so there are no flare-ups on the cooktop. Built to stay outside
Arteflame fire bowls and grill bodies are 10-gauge Corten steel, about 3.4 mm (0.135") thick. That is nearly twice the 14-gauge mild steel, about 1.9 mm, that many fire pits are made of. Corten is a weathering steel: outdoors it forms a rust-colored patina that protects the surface and needs no paint. The Stainless Series uses a spun stainless steel fire bowl instead. You always cook on a separate cooktop of hot-rolled steel, never on the Corten. Every Arteflame is made in the USA, ships free within the continental US and carries a 3-year limited warranty.

It burns real wood or charcoal, so it needs open sky and clearance from anything that can burn. It suits ground-floor patios and open-air courtyards. Check your building and local fire rules before using any wood or charcoal grill.
How do I care for the cooktop?
Scrape it clean while it is still warm, then wipe on a light coat of oil, like a cast-iron pan. A seasoning puck comes with the ONE20, ONE30 and 40" grills. The fire burns off most of what is left.
