Ribeye Steak W/ Bourbon Cream Sauce

BBQ Ribeye Steak with Creamy Bourbon Sauce and Grilled Zucchini Recipe by Bussin Eats

Cooked on the Arteflame Grill

Ingredients:

For the Ribeye Steak:

  • 1 12-16 oz Bone-In Ribeye Steak
  • 1 bottle Buffalo Trace bourbon
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp black peppercorns, whole
  • Sprigs of rosemary
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Grilled Zucchini:

  • 2 medium zucchinis, sliced into thick strips
  • 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp lemon zest
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 basil leaves, torn into pieces

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Steak:

    • Season the ribeye steak generously with salt, pepper, and rosemary. Let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  2. Grill the Steak:

    • Preheat the Arteflame grill to high heat.
    • Grill the ribeye steak to your preferred doneness, about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
    • Let the steak rest for 10 minutes after grilling.
  3. Make the Creamy Bourbon Sauce:

    • In a saucepan, melt butter and sauté mushrooms with whole black peppercorns until golden.
    • Sprinkle flour over mushrooms and cook for another minute.
    • Add bourbon, heavy cream, and beef broth. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
    • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Grill the Zucchini:

    • Toss zucchini strips with olive oil, lemon zest, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
    • Grill the zucchini strips on the Arteflame until tender and slightly charred.
  5. Serve:

    • Slice the rested ribeye steak.
    • Serve the steak with creamy bourbon sauce and grilled zucchini on the side.
    • Garnish zucchini with basil leaves and more red pepper flakes.
