These two-piece flat-top kits replace your stock cooking grate: a center grill grate for direct searing, surrounded by a carbon-steel griddle ring. Big Green Egg and kamado grills
A kamado is excellent at low-and-slow cooking and high-heat searing, but it has no flat surface for eggs, smash burgers or stir-fry unless you bring out a separate pan. How the kits work
Each kit is a tool-free swap for the stock grate, with no cutting, drilling or permanent change to the grill, so you can put the factory grate back any time. The ring is carbon steel, the same material as the cooktop on Arteflame's own grills, and it seasons like cast iron: expect it to darken and build a natural release surface over the first several cooks. Can I use lump charcoal and wood?
Yes. The ring sits above your existing fire, so it burns whatever your grill already burns: lump charcoal, briquettes, or a mix with wood chunks.
Which size do I need?
