Candied Bacon - a treat at your next tailgate or backyard BBQ

Candied Bacon is the perfect addition to any party, served warm or cold, candied bacon grilled on the Arteflame barbecue is a savory treat sure to be enjoyed by all. You'll be the talk of the party when you serve this recipe!

Recipe Ingredients:
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup cane sugar
1 teaspoon pumpkin spice seasoning
1/2 teaspoons chile powder
3 tablespoons maple syrup
1 1/2 pounds thick cut bacon

Measure maple syrup into a pyrex measuring cup or bowl, add sugars, spices and chile powder and mix with a fork until blended.

Heat your oiled Arteflame Grill or Weber / Kamado Style Arteflame Insert to medium high heat - when a few drops of water pop and snap. Arrange thick-cut bacon strips with one end near the middle and one near the edge of the cooktop as shown in the photo. Cook the bacon for one minute on each side, then drizzle the maple syrup mixture on each side. Continue to cook until done to your liking and serve - warm or cold.
