This Dorito®-Crusted Grilled Chicken recipe is perfect for adding a fun and flavorful twist to your grilled chicken. Ingredients:
  • 4 large chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 2 cups Doritos (Nacho Cheese flavor recommended), finely crushed / Arteflame DIY Dorito powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Olive oil, for brushing
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
  1. Preparation:

    • Preheat your Arteflame Grill to a medium-high heat. Make sure the cooktop is clean and lightly oiled.
    • In a shallow dish, combine the all-purpose flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
    • In another shallow dish, beat the eggs.
    • Place the crushed Doritos / Arteflame DIY Dorito powder in a third shallow dish.
  2. Coat the Chicken:

    • First, coat each chicken breast lightly in the flour mixture. This helps the egg wash stick to the chicken.
    • Dip the floured chicken into the beaten eggs, making sure it's fully coated.
    • Finally, press each chicken breast into the crushed Doritos / Arteflame DIY Dorito® powder, ensuring it's well-coated on both sides.
  3. Grill the Chicken:

    • Brush each side of the Dorito®-coated chicken breasts with a little olive oil to prevent sticking and to help achieve a crispy texture.
    • Place the chicken on the Arteflame Grill. Cook for about 6-8 minutes on each side or until the chicken is cooked through and the Doritos® crust is crispy and golden brown. The internal temperature of the chicken should reach 165°F (74°C).
  4. Serving:

    • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after removing it from the grill. This helps the juices redistribute, making the chicken moist and tender.
    • Slice the chicken breasts into strips, if desired, and arrange them on a serving platter. Garnish with chopped cilantro or parsley for a burst of color and freshness.
  5. Enjoy:
