Spicy Charred Grapefruit and Ginger Fizz with Chili Syrup from the Grill
Spicy Charred Grapefruit and Ginger Fizz with Chili Syrup: a refreshing, fiery drink combining grapefruit juice, chili, and ginger beer, crafted on the Arteflame Grill for an unforgettable taste.
Ingredients:
- 250ml Ruby Grapefruit Juice (about 1 ½ grapefruits)
- 50g Caster or Superfine Sugar
- 120ml Water
- 1 Red Chili, sliced in half
- Juice of 1 Lime
- 1 Slice Ruby Grapefruit, quartered
- 1 Tbsp Light Brown Sugar
- 250ml Fiery Ginger Beer

Instructions:
- Prepare the Chili Syrup: On your Arteflame grill, combine grapefruit juice, sugar, water, and chili in a saucepan. Boil, then simmer for 10 minutes. Cool and remove chili.
- Mix the Drink: Stir lime juice into the chili-grapefruit syrup.
- Grill the Grapefruit: Coat slices with brown sugar. Grill on Arteflame until caramelized.
- Assemble the Fizz: Rim glasses with the Texas rub. Fill with ice, lime slices, divide the syrup, and top with ginger beer.
- Garnish & Serve: Add a grilled grapefruit wedge and a Thai chili to each glass. Enjoy a fiery, refreshing drink, perfect for any gathering.
