This Grilled Turkey Meatloaf is a lean, flavorful alternative to classic meatloaf. Made with ground turkey, it’s tender, juicy, and takes on a smoky, charred flavor when cooked on the Arteflame grill. The tangy glaze caramelizes on the grill, making it an irresistible, healthier comfort food option.
In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and apple cider vinegar. Set aside.
In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Gently mix until all ingredients are combined, being careful not to overmix for a tender texture.
Form the turkey mixture into a loaf shape, about 8-10 inches long, and place it on a piece of heavy-duty foil with the sides folded up around the edges. Leave the top exposed to allow the meatloaf to caramelize.
Light the Arteflame grill with vegetable oil-soaked napkins and firewood. Preheat for about 20 minutes until the center is hot and the outer cooktop reaches medium heat.
Place the foil-wrapped turkey meatloaf on the flat cooktop. Sear each side of the loaf for 3-5 minutes. Move it to a cooler part of the grill and let it cook for about 45-55 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
During the last 10 minutes of grilling, brush the glaze over the top and sides of the meatloaf, allowing it to caramelize.
Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with grilled vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
