Grilled Angel Food Cake with Caramelized Apples & Plums Recipe

Grilled Angel Food Cake with Caramelized Apples & Plums

Transform angel food cake into a grilled delight with caramelized apples and plums. Topped with whiskey, honey, and vanilla ice cream, it's the perfect dessert on your Arteflame Grill.

Ingredients:

  • 1 store-bought angel food cake, sliced 1 inch thick
  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
  • 1 Tbsp pumpkin pie spice
  • ¼ cup whiskey
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 2 golden delicious apples, cored and sliced
  • 2 black plums, cored and sliced

Directions:

  1. Preheat your Arteflame grill to a medium heat.
  2. Arrange the apple and plum slices on the grill, seasoning them with pumpkin pie spice. Grill until they turn a rich, caramelized brown, flipping occasionally.
  3. Place slices of angel food cake on the grill, brushing each side with whiskey. Grill until char marks appear, flipping as needed.
  4. To serve, place a slice of grilled angel food cake on a plate. Top with the caramelized fruit, drizzle with honey, and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. Enjoy immediately.
