Turn up the heat with these spicy, Angry Chicken Wings grilled to perfection on your Arteflame. Perfect for those who love a fiery kick with their wings!
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs chicken wings, tips removed, drumettes and flats separated
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup hot sauce (like Frank's RedHot)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for heat preference)
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Freshly squeezed juice of one lime
Instructions:
-
Prep the Wings:
- Rinse the chicken wings and pat them dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until they are evenly coated.
-
Preheat the Arteflame:
- Get your Arteflame Grill hot and ready.
-
Make the Angry Sauce:
- While the grill heats up, mix the hot sauce, melted butter, honey, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, and lime juice in a bowl. Set aside some sauce for serving and use the rest for basting.
-
Grill the Wings:
- Place the wings on the flat cooktop part of the grill in a single layer. Grill for 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally until the skin is crisp and the wings are cooked through.
-
Baste the Wings:
- In the last few minutes of grilling, baste the wings with the Angry Sauce, turning to ensure they’re well coated.
-
Serve Hot:
- Remove the wings from the grill, toss with the reserved Angry Sauce, and serve immediately. Pair with blue cheese dressing and celery sticks if desired.
Tips for Perfect Grilled Wings:
- Prep Ahead: Allow the wings to marinate in the olive oil mixture for at least 30 minutes before grilling for deeper flavor.
- Let Them Rest: Give the wings a few minutes to rest off the grill before tossing them in the sauce for maximum flavor.
