Grilled Pumpkin or Squash Desert on the Grill

Discover the joy of grilling desserts with this simple Grilled Pumpkin or Squash recipe on the Arteflame grill. A touch of pumpkin pie spice, brown sugar, and lemon juice transforms squash into a delightful treat. Serve warm with your favorite topping for a cozy, autumnal dessert.

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups pumpkin or butternut squash, cubed or sliced
  • 2 to 3 tsp butter
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • Juice from 1 lemon
  • Ice cream, whipped cream, or eggnog for serving

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your Arteflame grill.
  2. Prepare the Pumpkin/Squash: Cut the pumpkin or squash into cubes or long slices.
  3. Create a Foil Pouch: Place the pumpkin or squash pieces on a large piece of aluminum foil. Fold the edges to create a pouch.
  4. Add Flavorings: To the pouch, add butter, pumpkin pie spice, brown sugar, salt, and lemon juice. Gently mix to coat the pumpkin or squash pieces.
  5. Seal and Cook: Close the pouch tightly to trap the steam. Place it on the Arteflame grill and let it bake for 20 - 25 minutes. The dessert is ready when a fork easily pierces the pumpkin or squash, indicating it's soft and cooked through.
  6. Serve with Toppings: Carefully open the pouch to avoid steam burns. Serve the grilled pumpkin or squash dessert with your choice of ice cream, whipped cream, or eggnog.
