Transform butternut squash into a versatile feast with this Arteflame grill recipe. Enjoy a dual treat of sweet maple-cinnamon and savory sausage-cheese stuffed squash, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients:

  • 2 butternut squash, halved and seeds removed
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 4 Tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp pumpkin spice
  • 1-2 sausages, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (or your preferred cheese)

Directions:

  1. Prep the Squash: After cutting the butternut squash in half and removing the seeds, microwave them for five minutes to soften.

  2. Grill the Squash: Heat your Arteflame grill to medium. Place the squash halves on the grill, cut-side down, and cook for 15-25 minutes. Then, flip to skin-side down until the squash is tender when pierced with a fork.

  3. Sweet Filling: In two of the squash halves, evenly distribute the maple syrup, butter, cinnamon, and pumpkin spice.

  4. Savory Filling: In the other two halves, add butter, sliced sausage, and mozzarella cheese.

  5. Final Grilling: Continue grilling until the fillings melt and blend into the squash. For the sweet halves, the spices and syrup should create a glaze. For the savory halves, the cheese should be melted and bubbly.

  6. Serve: Plate your grilled butternut squash halves, offering guests a choice of sweet or savory—or a little of both!
