  • 1 lb pork tenderloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 4 baguettes, split lengthwise
  • 1 cup pickled carrots and daikon
  • 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
  • 2 tbsp butter (for grilling)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Get the Grill Ready

Start by firing up the Arteflame grill to get it ready for grilling.

Marinate the Pork

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, fish sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and black pepper. Add the pork slices and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Grill the Pork

  1. Remove the pork from the marinade and pat dry.
  2. Place the pork slices on the center grill grate and sear each side for 2-3 minutes to get a golden crust.
  3. Move the pork to the outer flat cooktop and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, until cooked through.

Toast the Baguettes

  1. Spread butter on the inside of each baguette half.
  2. Place the baguettes, cut side down, on the flat cooktop and toast until golden brown and crispy.

Assemble the Banh Mi

  1. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and sriracha.
  2. Spread the sriracha mayo on the inside of each toasted baguette.
  3. Layer the grilled pork slices, pickled carrots and daikon, cucumber slices, jalapeño slices, and fresh cilantro inside the baguettes.
  4. Serve immediately.

  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure the pork reaches your desired level of doneness.
  • Rotate the pork and baguettes on the flat cooktop to utilize different heat zones for even cooking.
  • Let the pork rest after grilling to retain its flavors.
