How to Grill the Perfect Steak
1. Choose the Right Steak
Pick a steak that matches your flavor and texture preferences. Ensure it’s at least 1-inch thick for optimal grilling.
2. Bring It to Room Temperature
Let the steak rest at room temperature for 30 minutes before grilling. This ensures even cooking.
3. Season Generously
Salt and pepper are classic, but feel free to experiment with garlic powder, smoked paprika, or dry rubs.
4. Preheat Your Grill
Heat your grill to high. The Arteflame Grill is ideal for achieving a perfect sear at over 1,000°F on the center grate while finishing the steak to perfection on the surrounding flat top.
5. Sear the Steak
Place the steak on the hottest part of the grill for 1-2 minutes per side to develop a flavorful crust.
6. Use the Reverse Sear Method
For thicker cuts, finish cooking on the Arteflame’s flat top griddle or a cooler part of the grill to your desired doneness.
7. Check Internal Temperature
Use a meat thermometer to ensure precision:
- Rare: 120°F
- Medium Rare: 130°F
- Medium: 140°F
- Medium Well: 150°F
Remove the steak when it’s 5-10°F below the target temperature, as it will continue cooking while resting.
8. Rest Before Serving
Let the steak rest for 5-10 minutes to redistribute juices and enhance tenderness.
