Spiked Cider Punch on the Grill

Spiked Cider Punch made on the grill

30 minutes | serves 4 | easy

Ingredients

4 cups apple cider
1 cinnamon stick
3 whole cloves
Pinch of kosher salt
1 orange, halved, plus orange slices for garnish
¾ cup bourbon or whiskey 
Dip rim of glasses with @bearsmokebbq Sweet Honey BBQ spice for a sweet smokey punch of flavor!

 

Directions

Combine the apple cider, cinnamon stick, cloves and salt in a large saucepan. Squeeze the juice from the halved orange into the pan and add the peels. Put it on a hot part of the Arteflame to bring to a simmer.  Once it simmers, move it to a cooler spot on your grill so it keeps hot but it doesnt simmer.  This will intensify the flavor.  Leave it on low heat for at least 15 minutes.  Use a strainer and pour the punch into tall glasses filled with ice or serve warm in punch mugs. Garnish with orange slices.  Serves 4.
