Romaine Salad on the Grill with Ranch Dressing from scratch
INGREDIENTS
2 heads Romaine hearts
To make the Ranch Dressing, you will need;
1 cup mayonnaise1/3 cup sour cream
1/3 cup buttermilk
2 Tbsp. Italian parsley (minced)
2 tsp. fresh chives (minced)
2 tsp. fresh dill (minced)
1/2 tsp. dried tarragon
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. onion powder
1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
1 tsp. Accent® Flavor Enhancer
2 drops Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp. beer
PREPARATION
First, make the Ranch Dressing (or get the one from the store...). Mix the mayonnaise, sour cream and buttermilk in a large bowl. Stir in parsley, chives, dill, tarragon, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, Accent, Worcestershire sauce and beer until it is all thoroughly mixed together. Cover the bowl with sera wrap and refrigerate for several hours (overnight is even better).
Fire up your Arteflame Grill. Then cut the Romaine hearts in half or into quarters, depending on their size. Rub them with some olive oil and add a dash of Accent. Add a little olive oil to the Arteflame cooktop and place the Romaine hearts on the cooktop. Let them grill until the outer leaves begin to smoke and a nice charr develops. When they are charred according to your taste, remove them from the grill and they are ready to serve.
